Well, here it goes, my very first blog post! I'm excited, happy, and mildly terrified...I'm not entirely sure I know what to do, but I promise to figure it out along the way. I have researched what a blog is and how to set one up. I have pinned so many new ideas for making a blog successful that I had to create an entirely new board. I transferred pictures, wrote about myself (which is not nearly as easy as it sounds), and edited the buttons on the template. Now, all that was left was the easy part, sit down and write! I'm an educator and a Literacy Specialist; this is my bread and butter, no problem. Except, it was. I didn't know what to write about and where to start! I felt like so many of the students that I've worked with, I've given suggestions and tips on how to start, and here I sit, stuck.
So, I'm going to heed my advice and just start. I know the beginning won't be perfect or even close, but I won't get anywhere spinning in circles wondering what to do. I will jump in head-first and find a way to make this work. I know there will be bumps along the way, maybe I'll write something someone doesn't agree with, but right now, the satisfaction of trying to succeed is much greater than the fear of failure. I hope you'll join me for all the posts about my family and our adventures, my cooking and gardening escapades, and that never-ending list of to-dos. Thanks for joining me at Driftless Education!
