Time to Relax and Recharge

Sometimes, you just need a break from the monotonous day-to-day chores and happenings. That doesn't mean you must go far away or spend lots of money to keep everyone entertained. Throughout the next few weeks, I will share ideas on activities you can do with your kiddos that won't break the bank, will help to create some quality time together, and hopefully, give you some options to use throughout the summer.

One of the ways I like to mix up the day is by bringing lunch or snacks outside. We are blessed to have a front porch (where we are here) and a back deck to be on to give variety to our scenery. Having a snack and taking some time to relax and catch up on some emails or do some reading (do you see H-Man's book on the table?) can do wonders for recharging for the rest of the day. I've always tried to make sure H-Man has that time, but I have not been a great model of that practice. It has been more of a "do as I say...not as I do" situation, however, I am working on that, so I have some recharge time too!
